Lobbying for families with children with shortened life expectancy

Task

SEC Newgate was commissioned to support the Björn Schulz Foundation in drawing political attention to the special situation of families with children with shortened life expectancy and to position the Foundation as a relevant actor in the media and political space as well as to support fundraising activities.

Actions

SEC Newgate has developed a communication and public affairs strategy, including an assessment of the legal environment for children's palliative care. SEC Newgate has established a political advisory board and organised several political events, such as an exhibition, a discussion forum and a parliamentary evening, under the patronage of the wife of the Federal President and the Federal Minister for Family Affairs. In addition, SEC Newgate has developed a media concept to position the Foundation as an expert in palliative care and to support its fundraising activities.
